As a Zynk advisor, Guri Størvold is responsible for customers in the transportation and communications sectors. She focuses on assignments in the areas of positioning and reputation management, public affairs, and crisis communications, and has addressed a large number of demanding communications challenges for customers in the private, public and non-profit sectors, especially with issues located at the intersection between commerce and politics. Størvold joined Zynk in August 2012.
Størvold has 20 years’ experience from corporate management, politics and consulting, and has advised many of Norway’s most prominent politicians on high profile issues. Her background as State Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the Ministry of Transport and Communication, and the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, has given her substantial knowledge and understanding of social issues, which is backed up by experience in media relations, communications strategy and crisis management. Størvold has also worked in the news department at NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation), and has served as the council representative for the municipality of Steinkjer, leader of Norwegian Rural Youth (Norges Bygdeungdomslag) and board member in the Norwegian Farmers Union (Norges Bondelag). She continues to be a board member of the grocery wholesaling and retail group NorgesGruppen. Størvold became partner in Zynk in January 2017.
Størvold studied political science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and management at BI Norwegian Business School.
