Elisabeth Skarsbø Moen
Elisabeth Skarsbø Moen specialises in positioning, strategic consulting and governmental relations. Drawing on 20 years’ experience as a journalist and correspondent, she has developed deep expertise in digital and social media. As a Zynk advisor, she advises several of Norway’s largest corporations and organisations in the pursuit of their business goals. Skarsbø Moen also helps business executives to increase their visibility and social influence. Elisabeth Skarsbø Moen joined Zynk in February 2014.
Skarsbø Moen has more than 20 years’ journalism experience and, prior to Zynk, she was debate editor at VG (part of one of the world’s leading digital media houses, Schibsted). She originally joined VG as a political journalist in 1997 after spending four years at NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation). Whilst at VG Skarsbø Moen held several different positions in the public affairs department, broadcasting department, and the political department, and was appointed Opinions Editor in 2009. During this time, she also worked with VG Mobil, was a part of the launch team for VG+ (VG’s digital platform for paying customers), and helped to develop and implement VG’s “digital first” publishing strategy. Skarsbø Moen was also leader of the Norwegian Parliament’s press corps for three years, until December 2013, and has written political biographies of Carl I Hagen (former leader of the Progressive Party), Jens Stoltenberg (leader of the Labour Party and former Prime Minister) and Ola Borten Moe (former Minister of Energy and Petroleum and deputy leader of the Centre Party).
Skarsbø Moen has a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from the University of Oslo. She also studied at BI Norwegian Business School, where she wrote a paper on strategies in social media at master’s degree level (constituting one third of a master’s degree in management).
