Leadership and change communications

Whether the challenge is to implement a new strategy, integrate disparate businesses, succeed with a change project, or implement a programme of continuous improvement, the most important and efficient channel for internal communications is the leader.

Alongside the top executives, it is the middle managers who are key to getting the whole organisation to pull in the same direction – with commitment. In our own experience, this is the area with the greatest need and scope for improvement (in both Norwegian and international businesses), and where good communication has the greatest impact. Through clear communication of the goals and the direction, and involvement from employees as to how they could contribute to implementing the strategy, communications can contribute to faster and more efficient changes and improvements – with a measurable impact on the bottom line.
